Une invitation \u00e0 replonger dans le temps \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte du pr\u00e9-cin\u00e9ma<\/h3>\n

L’association de la Tour Morillon a pour but, dans un espace convivial, de d\u00e9couverte et d’\u00e9change, de pr\u00e9senter les oeuvres d’artistes et d’artisans. La galerie de la Tour Morillon en est le relais. Jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, elle a consacr\u00e9 ses expositions \u00e0 des artistes et naturellement \u00e0 leurs oeuvres. Cette fois-ci c’est un collectionneur qu’elle accueille, pour nous faire d\u00e9couvrir tout un univers m\u00e9connu, celui du pr\u00e9-cin\u00e9ma.<\/p>\n

Fran\u00e7ois Poey-Lafrance, qui se d\u00e9finit lui-m\u00eame plus tel un arch\u00e9ologue qu’un collectionneur, tant il compare sa passion \u00e0 la red\u00e9couverte d’objets oubli\u00e9s, plut\u00f4t qu’\u00e0 l’accumulation ou \u00e0 la juxtaposition d’objets th\u00e9matiques. Cette exposition vous invite donc \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir thaumatropes, ph\u00e9nakis, zootropes, praxinoscopes et autres feuilleteurs, autant de d\u00e9couvertes que nous ont apport\u00e9 les inventeurs du XIXe si\u00e8cle et qui ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l’invention du cin\u00e9ma \u00e0 la toute fin de ce si\u00e8cle par les fr\u00e8res Lumi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Nous avons choisi d’intituler cette exposition \u00ab\u00a0la d\u00e9couverte du mouvement\u00a0\u00bb parce qu’elle regroupe simplement une s\u00e9lection de l’immense collection de Fran\u00e7ois Poey-Lafrance et qu’il fallait faire des choix. Nous nous sommes donc orient\u00e9s vers les inventions qui ont permis d’apporter le mouvement aux images fixes. Nous avons donc mis de c\u00f4t\u00e9 les fabuleuses lanternes magiques, ou les plaques de verre si minutieusement peintes, qui ont elles aussi particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l’invention et qui compl\u00e8tent la collection de Fran\u00e7ois Poey-Lafrance.<\/p>\n

A travers cette exposition ce sont non seulement des inventions, de magnifiques objets que vous d\u00e9couvrirez, mais \u00e9galement une iconographie, des ambiances, des th\u00e8mes, des styles picturaux et graphiques qui caract\u00e9risent le XIXe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n
