Pour sa 11\u00e8me exposition, la galerie de la Tour Morillon a le plaisir d\u2019accueillir Christine MASSAUX-HELAS, c\u00e9ramiste et peintre, install\u00e9e dans sa maison et son atelier de La Presle \u00e0 Vesdun.<\/p>\n
C\u2019est d\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e2ge de 16 ans, qu\u2019elle engage sa carri\u00e8re de peintre en participant \u00e0 de nombreux salons et expositions de la r\u00e9gion o\u00f9 elle se fait remarquer par son style hyper r\u00e9aliste, au plus pr\u00e8s de la description de ses sujets. Principalement autodidacte, malgr\u00e9 deux ann\u00e9es de cours suivis \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole municipale d\u2019art de Saint-Amand-Montrond au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9e 1980, elle affirme fort son int\u00e9r\u00eat pour les th\u00e8mes de son quotidien, les paysages du Boischaut qu\u2019elle parcourt, sa famille, les objets qui l\u2019entourent et progressivement son amour pour le monde animalier.<\/p>\n
Les ann\u00e9es 1995 \/ 1996 marquent un tournant dans sa carri\u00e8re. Apr\u00e8s une vingtaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es consacr\u00e9es exclusivement \u00e0 la repr\u00e9sentation en deux dimensions, elle se forme \u00e0 la c\u00e9ramique aupr\u00e8s de professionnels et d\u00e9couvre les moyens de la repr\u00e9sentation en volumes. La c\u00e9ramique devient alors son principal m\u00e9dium, celui qui va lui permettre de formaliser sa passion pour le monde animal. Dans sa propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de La Presle, o\u00f9 elle \u00e9l\u00e8ve, nourrit, soigne et observe les animaux qui peuplent le bocage de son Berry d\u2019adoption, elle va engager un travail de c\u00e9ramiste animalier empreint de douceur et de simplicit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
\u00ab Ce qui est beau est ce que l\u2019on aime \u00bb, voici un principe \u00e9vident sur lequel Christine fait reposer son \u0153uvre. L\u2019exposition qu\u2019elle vous propose aujourd\u2019hui \u00e0 la tour Morillon fait dialoguer deux mondes : celui des oiseaux et celui des poissons, celui de l\u2019air et celui de l\u2019eau, rassembl\u00e9s par l\u2019usage de la terre et du feu, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire par l\u2019art de la c\u00e9ramique. Tout l\u2019univers est l\u00e0, la mati\u00e8re, le r\u00e8gne animal et enfin la puissance de l\u2019amour d\u2019une artiste pour ses sujets.<\/p>\n
Le titre de l\u2019exposition reprend le titre de de cette chanson de 1966 \u00e9crite par Jean-Marc RIVIERE et interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par Juliette GRECO, intitul\u00e9e \u00ab un petit poisson, un petit oiseau \u00bb. Le titre est compos\u00e9 des premiers mots de ce texte po\u00e9tique, et ils sont suivis par \u00ab \u2026 s\u2019aimaient d\u2019amour tendre \u00bb. La suite de la chanson pose la question \u00ab mais comment s\u2019y prendre \u00bb, pour \u00e9voquer cette rencontre improbable entre deux univers que tout semble opposer. Christine apporte la r\u00e9ponse et nous propose ici la solution avec \u00e9vidence et simplicit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
L\u2019\u0153uvre de Christine MASSAUX-HELAS n\u2019est pas sans faire penser \u00e0 celle d\u2019une de ces illustres artistes peintres qui l\u2019a pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e, grande figure de la peinture animali\u00e8re du 19\u00e8me si\u00e8cle et qui, bien que partiellement oubli\u00e9e au 20\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, reprend aujourd\u2019hui toute sa place dans l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art : Rosa BONHEUR (on c\u00e9l\u00e8bre d\u2019ailleurs cette ann\u00e9e le 200\u00e8me anniversaire de la naissance, avec une grande exposition au mus\u00e9e d\u2019Orsay). Sa passion ind\u00e9fectible pour les animaux a nourri son \u0153uvre, elle les a plac\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gal de l\u2019homme dans leur repr\u00e9sentation et leur apportant cette part d\u2019humanit\u00e9 dans leurs gestes et leurs regards.
